Red Ribbon Week
IMMS Red Ribbon Week 2019

October 21-25, 2019 is Red Ribbon Week! The Red Ribbon Campaign is an annual drug awareness initiative that has impacted millions of lives around the world. 

From http://redribbon.org, the following pledges exist for parents and students: 

PARENT PLEDGE
-As parents and citizens, we will talk to our children and the children in our lives about the dangers of drug abuse.
-We will set clear rules for our children about not using drugs.
-We will set a good example for our children by not using illegal drugs or medicine without a prescription.
-We will monitor our children's behavior and enforce appropriate consequences, so that our rules are respected.
-We will encourage family and friends to follow the same guidelines to keep children safe from substance abuse.

YOUTH PLEDGE
-I pledge to grow up safe, healthy and drug free by:
-Understanding the dangers of drug use and abuse.
-Respecting myself and being drug free.
-Spreading the word to family and friends about the importance of being healthy and drug free.

During the week of October 21-25, 2019, our dress up days are as follows:
Red Ribbon Week Flyer
Monday - Turn your back on drugs! Wear your shirt backwards.
Tuesday - Wear RED day!
Wednesday - Don't let friends do drugs! Twin day.
Thursday - Cowboy Up Against Drugs and give drugs the boot! Wear western clothes & boots.
Friday - Dream big by saying NO to drugs! Disney character or shirt day/Have the power to be drug free! Superhero day.
