Students in grades three through eight have been working hard all year on their projects to prepare for this event.  The top winners in each classroom were selected to compete at the district level.

The projects that advanced to the district competition were well-researched and tested and covered a variety of subjects that include testing which soda rocket goes the farthest and Ready, Set, Expand which covers the expansion of gases.

Competition was fierce, but 16 students from Irma Marsh Middle School were selected to advance to the Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair which will be held on February 12th-21st for Phase I Review and February 22nd for Online Interviews. These students will join more than 500 students from Region XI for a Virtual Science Fair broadcast from the University of Texas at Arlington to compete for scholarships and the opportunity to advance to the State and National Science and Engineering Competitions.
