Mrs. Roberts comes to us from FWISD, where she has served the last two and a half years as principal of Luella Merrett Elementary School.  Prior to her tenure as principal, she served as the assistant principal at Luella Merrett Elementary School for five and a half years.  Mrs. Roberts was recruited from San Diego, CA as part of a turnaround team for South Hills High School in FWISD.  She began her career as a teacher, assistant varsity girls soccer coach and student leadership director at South Hills High School in FWISD.  Throughout her career, she has served as an assistant principal at Eastern Hills High School,  as a Learning Network Coordinator responsible for training instructional coaches at the district-level in FWISD and worked as a teacher’s assistant and long-term substitute at Juvenile Court and Community Schools in San Diego, CA. 

 

Mrs. Roberts graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science for Single-Subject Teaching and earned a California Teaching Credential.  In continuing her education, she received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.

 

Mrs. Roberts enjoys spending time with her husband, Anthony Roberts, and two children, Addisen (6) and Joseph (4).  They recently adopted a puppy named Charlie who keeps the family very entertained.  In her free time, Mrs. Roberts enjoys spending time playing soccer, being outdoors, traveling, and reading.

 

Mrs. Roberts is excited about the opportunity to join the Castleberry ISD family and serve as the principal of Irma Marsh Middle School.
